Then you have to understand that you cannot control every situation and worrying and being anxious will not resolve it or make it better. Try some relaxation techniques where you tense certain muscle groups and then release them.

The more your body relaxes so will your mind. Deep breathing exercises can also help. If you are breathing too fast because of anxiety, try taking some slow deep breaths, this can help you become calmer. Another method is meditation. There are many types of meditation techniques that have been shown to relieve anxiety. If you feel these self help measures are not enough and are not working for you then you should seek medical attention. There are a number of things that a doctor can try, one might be medication.
Medicine
There are certain anti-depression medicines like Paxil, Zoloft, Celexa, Effexor, and Prozac that work for anxiety disorders. Then there are anti-anxiety medicines like Valium, Zanax, Ativan, and Klonipin these medications work almost immediately. None of these medications will cure your anxiety, they only treat it. Until you get to the root of your anxiety you will not be able to resolve it. Cognitive and behavior therapy can help you come to terms with your worries and fears. This is done by having you face your fears in a safe controlled environment. Another form of treatment is talking out your fears and irrational thoughts with a psychotherapist. This way you can address the cause of your anxiety.
